Supercomputers
are equivalent to many computers; it implies
one supercomputer has the capability of
many supercomputers. So the processing capacity
is much higher which speeds up the calculations.
Supercomputers are mainly used as number
crunchers and since its high capacity, a
super computer is very expensive.
Supercomputers are useful
for computational scientists and engineers
as well as to researchers in the humanities
and social sciences that have a need for
advanced visualization and large data set
management. |
